We recommend that Stockstream be accessed by this installable version for Microsoft Windows and Apple Mac OSX. If you use the Chrome, Firefox, Edge or other unsupported web browsers and wish to use Stockstream from your desktop this may be the only way you can access Stockstream as Internet Explorer 11 is the only browser that still supports the classic web access.
To install on your computer you first need an up-to-date version of Java installed on your computer. This is free and available for download here: https://www.java.com
Once you have Java updated the Stockstream installer can be downloaded by clicking here: http://bit.ly/216z9Su
This will download a small installer file called qs.jnlp which you click to run and install the stockstream.jnlp application. Part of the install process will create a shortcut to Stockstream on your desktop.
NOTE: Newer versions of MAC (MAC OS X Maverick and newer) will block all jnlp files by default and users with newer MACs will need to update this setting in order to be able to install the Desktop application launch icon. MAC users, please go to System Preferences >> open Security & Privacy >> Under General tab >> Under "Allow apps downloaded from" >> Select "Anywhere".
USERNAME NOTE: You must use your Stockhouse display name (the one shown on your Bullboard posts), the same as you do in the mobile application. Your email address will not work as a sign in option like it does on Stockhouse.com
PASSWORD NOTE: in some rare cases your password may not work in either this new Desktop Launcher App or the Mobile App. If this happens you may need to change you password. Doing so will synchronize the new password with all servers. Note that it may take up to 30 minutes for the change to be in affect everywhere so please be patient. If you are signed into your Stockhouse.com account you can click this link and change your password in the sidebar: http://www.stockhouse.com/members/profile/contact-info
