We have 5 important changes, including fixes to some ongoing problems. Please take the time to read each item as some of them will change how you access your subscription.
1 | Password issue and solution
For some subscribers their passwords are failing in the mobile app and downloaded versions of Stockstream. This seems to be triggered either by performing a password recovery or password update on Stockhouse.com. We are working on a permanent fix to the self serve system and in the meantime the Stockhouse support team now has a new manual fix available. If your password does not work in the Mobile App or Desktop Download Application then please reach out to Support via support ticket in this help centre or sending an email to support@stockhouse.com and put “Stockstream” in the subject line so it gets top priority. Note that they will need to issue you a new password that cannot be changed via self service.
2 | End of life for web version of Stockstream
The classic web version of Stockstream has seen a drastic reduction in browser support and is now only supported by Internet Explorer. The web version is the Stockstream method that starts within your web browser on the stockhouse.com website. Support for this version has declined so much that we are discontinuing this method of accessing Stockstream. The final day it will be available is January 31, 2017. After that date the login links on Stockhouse.com website will direct you to a page with info on how to proceed with downloading the new software. You can also get a head start on this by switching to the new software now by following the directions below for the new Desktop Stockstream.
3 | New desktop version of Stockstream
In the ongoing effort to provide a better experience while also making new featres abvailable as soon as posible we now have two versions of the Stockstream desktop software available.
1. A stable release version that will receive new stable features twice a year and does not reqire Java be installed seperately. This is now available starting Jan 15 2017.
2. Java webstart version that many subscribers will already have. This is an early release client version that receives new features as they are developed. Requires that an up to date version of Java installed.
More info on both versions and download links can be found in this help article:

5 | Coming Soon
You spoke and we listened. The shopping cart at Stockhouse.com has seen technical issues that make it hard to use. In addition the split support channels between Stockhouse.com for billing support and Quotemedia for technical support is confusing. The solution we are working on right now is to move to a new shopping cart provided by Quotemedia and with a billing process fully supported by their staff. Once this changeover happens you will be able to contact one place, Quotemedia Support, for all of your Stockstream support needs. This is still being developed and we will send out further details in the coming months as your participation will be needed to move your subscription to the new cart.
